scope in mils- ??????

The number of mils between the 100 zero and 1000 yard desired zero depends upon your rifle's ballistics. Some mil scopes have a dots on the horizontal and verticle crosshairs that are 1 mil apart. I don't know what yours are, but the owners manual should tell you. A mil is approximately 3.44 moa (minutes of angle), the unit of marking common on most scopes. You need to read articles which go into more detail. Do a Google search on "shooting mils" for more information. A full description would give me typing cramps. The mil dots in scopes were originally put there for making range estimates to the target.
