Scope for benchrest and/or F-class

What's the general consensus of the Premier Reticle vs. March vs. Nightforce scopes? I'm looking for a scope I can use from 100 -1000+ yards. At present I'm using a Weaver T-36 out to 600 yds but getting bored at this distance. I welcome all responces.

Thanks

I think at any given match you'll see NF scopes are the most used, by a large margin... In F-Class most use the BR models for the 1/8 min adjustments, and almost everyone is using 12-42.

sub.sonic,

I don't think you can get a Premier any more. I use a NF 12 x 42 BR 2DD. The Match's are very good scopes, and cost it too. I have used the Weaver 36 of 1000 yds, but there don't have enough light gather powers in bad conditions. The Leoupold Comp. 40 X and 45X are good also.

Hey guys thanks for the info, a friend was telling me about Premier Recticles in Winchester, VA, www.premierrecticles.com, the price is around $2800 and the glass is superb. I was caught between March and NF and with your help I have decided to go with the NF 12-42x56 NP-2DD.

Thanks again

I dont have access to 1000 yard range but we do have 500 and 600 in st Louis. I am new to f-class and am really just starting, but i went with a Bushnell 4200 8-32x40 and i also just purchased a Sightron SIII 8-32x56. These scopes should make a great alternative to the higher priced optics. I paid 700 for the sightron and 350 for the 4200. The 4200 is an amazing piece of glass and i hope the internals are as good as there glass quality. Lee

Lee, I looked at both scopes and the glass is very good for the money but I have a friend who's gun somehow rolled off his rest and fell about 5 inches onto a wooden bench, he had to send his Sightron back to the manufacturer for repairs, but if you ask me I think he was more concerned about scratching his $300+ paint job on his stock. Some of the determining factors for my decision to buy NF was its durability, clarity and workmanship. And believe me I'm not a happy camper about the price.

My 12x42x56 Br Nightforce fell 5 foot of the roof of the truck and went right back to shooting critters with out incident a few years ago..
Dug it up a little and tore up a newly Clear coated stock, but it never missed a beat, maybe 4 Signature rings helped out a little ;D
