Scope for 600yd and 1000yd?

I am new to the long range benchrest world, and am putting together a rifle.
I have a Lawton 7500 in 6.5x284 built up minus the optics.
I have been looking at the Sightron SII Big Sky 36x, the SII 36x and the Weaver 36x.
Are these scopes/powers the best for what I am looking to do with them, while staying under the $600 range?Or are there better choices?
Thanks,
Steve

The problem with a straight power is the lack of ability to turn it down during snotty conditions. I'd move your budget up a bit and go with either a 8.5-25X50 Long Range Leupold or the Sightron 8-32X56. Used ones go for around the $700 or so mark.

I use the 12X42 Nightforces with the DD reticle.

Both have the 3 power booster too. When the conditions are favorable, power is a good thing.
