Scope for 50'

I started shooting matches that, in the winter, shoot smallbore at 50'. I have a Leupold BR-24X that will focus down to 50' so I'm good there. Are there other Leupold scope that have a 24X power setting and focus down to 50'?

The lighting is not really good enough to use a 50' adaptor.

The scope is fine except for the reticle. The fine crosshair and miniscule dot are not optimal.

Leupold is not doing reticles at this time and can't tell me if, when the custom shop resumes, they will change reticles on this model.

Thanks!

Most of the older 40mm Leupolds will accept a 50 foot adapter lens (made by Leupold) which allows focusing down to 50 foot and I haven't had issues with lighting as you mentioned. You might try contacting ShootingSight.com and they may be able to make a lense you can put in a butler creek scope cap.

Have you considered Sightron? Both the 45X45 SIII ED and the 36X42 SII focus down to 50 ft. Both are a very good value.

The 36x42 Sightron S-II mentioned works well. I have one on an Annie MPR and am very happy with it.....And it won't break the bank.

Rick

@mudduck I am presently using a Leupold BR-24X and am good at the range for distance but the reticle is fine crosshair with a miniscule dot. Leupold is not doing reticle changes at this time and can't tell me if they will do this scope when and if they resume.

@lawman29 The scope you posted does go down to 10 yards. I sent an inquiry to Vortex. Let's see what they can offer.

@R.Morehouse I am not familiar with Sightron. I will have to check them out. BR, BR-D, FX-3, Vari-X iii are the level I would like to be at for optics and light gathering.

Bonus request, I really need to get down to 10 yards for dry firing at home.

The comp will be brighter the your older 24 and should allow you to see the crosshairs better

Another vote for sightron
Love my 50x at 50'
I rotated my equipment to use my fine ch version outdoors and easier to see duplex reticle version indoors

Among the Leupold line I think your only option is the 6.5-20x40 EFR. Most Leupolds stop at 50y minimum.

Outside of Leupold there are a variety of scopes that minimum focus to 10-15y. There it’s a matter of budget and features.
