scope for .243 varminter?

Looking for a scope for my .243.

Want to be able to shoot accurately out to 400 yards.

The Nikon Buckmaster 6-18x40 mildot has excellent reviews and is reasonably priced.

Any others to keep in mind?

Here are the contenders at the moment. Any suggestions?

I've found some great deals at SWFA, better than paying Retail.......

Great link thanks for the heads up. I will deffinetely be watching those lists. Some of the Monarchs look pretty good.

I have a Nikon Monarch 6-24x50 SF on my .243 AI I went with the Nikoplex. I bought it NEW for a little less than what the SWFA sample list has the refurbished ones for.

It is a great scope. I do have 2 bitches though. It doesnt have enough internal adjustment for elevation. I had to get a 20 MOA base to dial up past 600 yards. The other bitch, 1/8" adjustments on the turrets instead of 1/4 MOA. It holds zero even after falling and dropping the gun on some not so soft logs landing on the scope first. My Leupy Vari-X III isnt that tough ::)
