Scope decisions - need advice.

Ok, I have a couple scope decisions to make.

1st off is my newly built 22-250. This is going to be my truck gun, field rifle used for calling coyotes. I'm thinking something along the lines of 12-16 power max with some type of holdover reticle w/side focus, I figure this to be a 200-400 yard gun just for hunting with. My budget for this scope is going to be $200-$250ish. Suggestions, advice?

2nd is kind of a combined question. I currently have a 6BR with a 26" Shilen bbl that I will probably use for some deer hunting and I currently have a Weaver T-24 scope on it which is nice but I was considering putting that scope on my .243AI. Will the T-24 be plenty of scope for 750-800 yards to use on my .243AI? I'm guessing it should be but if I am tempted to go use the .243AI next year to punch some targets out to 1000 yds at the Show Me Benchrest Shooters Club in No. MO. next year will it be sufficient for that?

I currently have a Sightron SIII 8-32X56 FCH on the .243AI but was considering selling it if the T-24 will do just fine for me on it instead and then I can use those funds to purchase something for the 22-250 and for something else to put on my 6BR to use for hunting/target shooting out to 500-600 yards. The T-24 does nicely for out to 600 yards for target shooting but I figure I'll be happier with something that has adjustable power if I need it to dial it down for hunting purposes.

A lot of questions I know, but I'm sure you guys are up to the task for advice. ;)

For your 22-250 you might want to forgo to side focus in this price range, many of the scopes in that range have it but most are not up to the quality of the adjustable objective models at the same price. Great scopes to look at would be the:

Vortex Diamondback 4-12X40AO:

Weaver V-16 4-16X42AO

Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14X40 Side Focus

The T-24 is a great scope, but is does not hold a candle to the Sightron S-III at long range, mid range, short range or any range for that matter. The key to life is to move up the scale of optical quality, not to move backwards. Keep the S-III, you'll regret it if you don't.
