Scope clearance from rail

Good morning everyone. I recently mounted a new scope and I'm wondering if I have enough clearance between the tube and the rail. I'm thinking it should be ok as there shouldn't be much (any?) flex happening at the action.

I can't quite get a credit card in the gap, it snugly fits 4 pieces of paper.

I filed the ends of the rail down to clear the bell ends better.

The setup as shown gives me a great fit and sight picture. Should I be concerned?

What Mark said!
As long as it's not touching anywhere, you should be good to go.
The only exception to that would be barrel clearance on "soft synthetic stocks" They have a bad tendency to bend and touch the barrel when it's too warm out. You need lots of clearance on those.

Thank you. The brass I ordered should get here today, then I'll be ready to go. I definitely have that new rifle anticipation building!

Though I could in no way be considered anyone but an amateur, I think you have enough clearance. I prefer as little separation as possible. By the way, nice job on dressing the rail ends. The angles match remarkably well.
