Scope Checker Uses & How To Thread

I admire your intent and wish you good luck with your endeavor.

In the mean time could you please advise us as to the weights of the uppers and lowers as shipped. Please also add this to the specs for each on your website.

I'll try to remember to weigh them tonight & post results.

Lowers are right at 8oz. Uppers right at 1#. All in, when mounted you're looking at 24oz.

Thanks for the weights. Now I know that the scope checker we were using to test some scopes for POA holding was yours. I'm busy today but will post the results and comments tomorrow. I think I'll start a new thread as our results are a little off topic for this thread.

If it looked like this (but blasted matte), it was our current model. Of course, the rail configurations may have been different, as we offer them as double Picatinny (pictured), Picatinny/ Dovetail, double Dovetail & Picatinny/ Kelbly Panda F-Class "Picatinny"

Yes, and the Leupold and Nightforce I checked.

Another test is to check for range focus errors. One Nightforce I tested on a 200 yard target needed to be set at infinity to remove parallax effects. Had to look into them using a 7X monocular to magnify the target image and reticle.
Bart,
IYO, what is the best scope on the market that is not likely to not need any work done to it when new out of the box.

I have a 30 MOA rail machined into my receiver, then I mounted my scope with a 20 MOA one piece Spuhr mount. 50 MOA total. Started shooting at 100 yards for preliminary load testing and chronographing. It sucks at that distance with that much compensation dialed into the scope. Not nearly as good optics shooting short range when the elevation dial is at the bottom of the barrel. But the picture will definitely be nice and crisp out at 1K+ ;)
