scope checker idea..

I have a set of Burris XTR rings and I put one of these ring caps on the back ring to mount a Dr Optic holosight on my long range rig in case something happened up close,,I dont see why a person couldnt get one for the rear ring also and mount a frozen scope in high rings straight on top of the scope to be tested,,

they also come in 1 inch so you could mount either scope on bottom or top,,

any reason this wouldnt work??

since I already have one of the 30mm all I would have to have is another 30mm cap and a frozen scope,,I could mount any 30mm scope in the burris rings with the slots on top and then mount a frozen scope straight on top,,no??

I'm sure there would be issues with the alignment of the two sections of picatinny rail, but if one used Burris rings with inserts on top as well it might not be an issue. Then there's the question of strength. All the weight would be supported by the lower rings and screws. Would they hold up? Would the whole thing be rigid enough? I don't know, but it's a good idea.

And what if the issue in question lies with the mounting of the base scope?
The whole idea of a scope checker is to isolate everything on a system without question i.e. No moving parts.
