scope advise.

I am picking up a 24' 1-8 upper for my ar in .223 and i would like some advise on a scope. i was looking at a burris fullfield 2 tac in od green and a bushnell elite 4200. the burris is 4.5-14 and the bushnell is 4-16. i am mostly paper punching and would like stay in this mag range. also i can get these scopes for about $400 so i would like to stay in this price range also. if you have any advise please let me know.

Either will do just fine for your purpose. The Burris would likely be easier to resale. I would recommend a scope rail that would allow you to extend the scope forward to give you more eye relief. Look at 6mmar.com to see what I am talking about. This will also give you some more height, to get you more comfortable on the stock. AR's are fun to shoot and very accurate with hand loads.

GO ON E-BAY FOR $400.00 YOU WILL BE ABLE TO GET A ALMOST NEW OR NEW LEUPOLD VXlll 4.5 X 14 with an A.O or A Veri Xlll the earlier verison of the VX either is a lot better scope in my opinion.,DON'T BE AFRAID TO BID THEM) ALL LEUPOLDS HAVE A LIFETIME WARRANTY FOR WHO EVER OWN'S THEM.

I agree with K80SKEET, look at E-Bay for one of the Leupold VXIII Scopes. You'll be happy if you go this route and buy the leupold.
