Warning, do not duplicate this load without woking it up from 47. grains. I load a very hot load in a 20", Remington Model 7 308. 51.5 grains W748 and a Federal 215 primer in neck turned and trimmed LC 81 Match Brass and 150 grain Sciroccos. They chronograph 3019 fps with a 20 fps ES. It has some presure signs but it groups .5 at 100 yards. My son and I have harvested over 50 whitetails over the last three years with this load. We have harvested deer from 10 to 300 yards and yet to recover a single spent bullet. I can't say that about any other bullet we have used. All have had point of aim entry wound and pass through exit wound. It has a very traumatic wound channel. It shows extreme signs of hydrostatic shock to soft tissue. Exit wounds hae normally been about 1.5 inches in diameter. Very few deer have travelled farther than 50 yards after being shot. I am a firm believer in the Scirocco bullets in all calibers. I believe with a little work in load development they perform better than any other non partitioned hunting bullet on the market. They have the best jacket/core design, and bonding. They have the best polimer tip, ogive, boattail, and BC. They are expensive, one has to wait and find them on sale periodically. But as a hunting bullet how many are you going to be shooting. I personally feel they are good enough to spend the extra bucks no puns intended.
