School me on benchrest scopes

Looking to by a scope for a short range benchrest gun. Light varmint so I need to make weight. Nightforce comp comes in at the upper end off weight Looking at leupold 45x and a ior 36x as well. Will be mainly for 100yds but may put it on my 600yd rig as well Any info on this subject is greatly appreciated

It would be worthwhile to check out the Sightron 45x if you need to make weight. I like mine.

Hard to beat the ior 36x. Its all i use on a lv gun

I guess it depends on your budget. I use the mentioned Sightron and an older March EPZ 36-55. That may serve you better at 600 but the cost of the new model EPZ may be prohibitive. I hear a number of shooters are very happy with the mentioned IOR 36x, I think Bart was using one at 600 as well........Best of luck.....Scope shopping can be a bit Crazy Making.....LOL

The SIII Sightron ED fixed 36 and 45 power scopes are excellent.. I love mine.

The IOR fixed 36Xs are also very good.
