Like any electronic items you can get a good one or a bad one it seems. sorry to hear you have having trouble with your RCBS. I personally don't have any experience with the Pact. but a good shooting buddy had an older one that has caused him nothing but grief since day one.
i personally have a Lyman dps 1200 II and have nothing but great service from it fortunately. I have it now for about three years and thrown a few thousand charges with it. it is very stable especially if it let to warm up for a long time. When I am doing a lot of loading and shooting I will just leave it on. Sometimes for weeks. Just for fun I have checked it after being on for several days since being calibrated and more often then not it reads right on with the check weight. I check it every twenty or so and usually re cal it every fifty or so.
I am sure you will get lots of opinions on several different units ranging all across the board from good to bad. and there are several tests reports hear on this great web site witch might help you.

good luck!

I don't have any electronic scales or powder dispensers so I can't offer any recommendations for either. I do own a fair amount of RCBS equipment and am very impressed with their customer support and warranty. I would send it back to RCBS. They have an excellent reputation for doing right by their customers.

Thanks BR fun, and AV8er yes it used to work and one day I noticed the pan didnt way its normal weight and I tried calibrateing it but it didnt help,I would check the weight of known items and now its off, since learning its off Ive been using my 5.0.5. hand scale to double check and its usually .4 gr off at best. Im just trying to decide if I should get this one fixed or find a new product all together.

OK you should call RCBS or PACT, they make this for RCBS) and talk to the tech people. they will probably talk you through resetting the digital scales. I don't think this is covered in the manual.
Good luck
RCBS' number is 800-533-5000

Thanks for the number, I spoke to csr. service and they said to send it in for repair or replace so now couple weeks with no electronics. thanks again guys.
