About 2 1/2 years ago I worked up a good shooting load for my CZ 550 chambered in .243 and loaded 50 extra rounds. Sometime after this I lost a lot of my load data when my basement flooded. I knew the load consisted of Sierra 85 Gr HPBT over IMR 4064, but I didn’t know the charge weight.
This evening I decided to break down the last three of these rounds in order to verify the charge weight. When these this ammo was loaded, I was throwing charges light with a RCBS powder measure and trickling up on a Parker tuned Lyman D5. After weighing them on an FX 120I I was pleasantly surprised to get 37.88, 37.86, and 37.88. I don’t know what weight I was shooting for, but at least I know it was consistent.
I think I’ll load another 50 now.
