Just sold a Hawkeye borescope to a newbie, Logan M. No messages or feedback, just joined Friday. Transaction, USPS money order, no paypal because no feedback. I listed a spotting scope on another forum. Said I will take Paypal and got a email, that there has been a person hacking into my account. It state to log in to this paypal link. I did not. Paypal will not send info like that thru email. Nor will a bank, credit card, etc... Beware ,on to clicking via a email link. This other forum was on the US rifle team, national match forum.. nilebartram

I always Google the address they want me to send payment to. This is an absolute must. It saved me twice.

Dang, that’s a good idea. I’ve bought a few scopes and all went smoothly but you make a great point.

Yes, one time the address was a group home with 12 different people living there. I knew that wasn't right so i didn't send any money. Two days later i got a notice - scam alerts. Other times when i checked an address it shows $450,000.00 house with same owner for 15 years so i send payment without fear.
