I post this here as it has a component for international support.
Please Forum Boss, if this is inappropriate just delete it rather than another 3 month ban…
If you get to OZstralia you can get out to Lithgow in the Blue Mountains by train or of course in your rented transport… Train goes though some amazing country that cannot be seen from the road…
My name is Kerry Guerin and I am the secretary of the Lithgow Small Arms Factory Museum, which is currently closed and in danger of never reopening.
As a museum that is strongly aligned with your interests, we wanted to reach out and ask for your support by signing our petitions to help save the museum and show how important it is to so many people. preserving this important piece of history for future generations.
We have 2 petitions:
1. NSW Parliamentary Petition which is for NSW residents of all ages, asking politicians to facilitate site ownership for the Museum
You can access this petition here: Facilitate Site Ownership for the Lithgow Small Arms Factory Museum
2. Global Petition (open to everyone of voting age and aimed at Thales to highlight the museum's importance to Australian heritage and its global value.)
You can access this petition here: Secure the Future of Lithgow Small Arms Factory Museum
If you could share the petition with your members, family and friends, anyone who might be interested, we’d really appreciate it. Every signature will make a big difference as we fight to keep the museum open for everyone to enjoy.
We’ve also included a poster with QR codes linking directly to both of the petitions if you have anywhere to display it where others can access it.
Thank you for your time and support.
Donna, Kerry, and the Museum Team
Kind regards,
Kerry Guerin
