Savage Ultralight rifle, in 223?

Has anyone here had any experience with one? At five pounds and with a one in nine twist it sounds like it would make a great backcountry varmint and predator rifle.

Don't have one but I'd like it better with a 22 inch barrel and a 1:12 twist.

I think one in .22k-hornet and a walnut stock would be awesome. Easy on powder and the ears.

Why is a 12 twist better than a 9 twist?

The 1-12 may be more accurate with 55 grain and lighter bullets. In a BR gun it would be more accurate, in a walking varmint gun, I doubt it.

The Savage .223 I bought had a nine twist. I fired only one group at 200 yards with it. The bullets were Nosler 55 grains Ballistic Tips. The group measured .800".
