Hi I was wanting to know how hard is it to convert a savage magnum action over to a 308 bolt face?

just change the bolt head and maybe the firing pin depending on what one your currently have.

If you don't rob the ejector, springs, pins, extractor, detent ball, extractor spring and make both the bolt heads readily switchable you are looking at about $45.00 for each complete bolthead. You are looking at about 15 minutes of time to switch them out. If you do it right you will need lapp both bolt head lugs for bilateral lug engagement.
