Savage bolt?

I was wondering how hard it will be to change my savage target action bolt handle. Is there somewhere that will tell me how? Can someone walk me through it? Thanks, Josh

Just put an allen wrench in the back of the BAS (bolt assembly screw) and un-screw it. It may be tight and might pop or crack when it breaks loose. This is normal. There is nothing that will come flying out at you. Tap on the handle and it will slide off.

Recently changed the bolt handle on my model 12, and it took all of about 4 minutes, including cleaning and lubing camming surfaces. All bolts should be this simple to take apart. ;D
