1. With the Predator Model 10 and the low profile varmint model 12 are those the same actions?


If not what is the difference?

Same action - only difference being the finish.

One other thing that may differ depending on the age of each action is the magazine style. Staggered feed vs. center feed

How stiff is the forearm on the M-10 Predator?


Is it stiff enough to shoot off a bi pod....not the typical flimsy
Savage plastic stock...

Sorry, the stock is the same plastic tupperware. I don't have the new Predator but got to fondle one about a week ago. Same basic Savage rifle with a new look. The barrel is a bit heavier than the standard sporter and balances VERY well. Rumor has it the new 2008 models will have the detachable mag....might be worth waiting for if that's something you want.

Bipod will work fine, but you'll have to be aware of how much torque you're putting on the stock. For hunting purposes, I wouldn't even worry about it.
