You have a perfect F/TR rifle. That's what I would look into doing if I was you. F/TR is F-class for 308/223 scoped rifles and F/TR operating costs are less than F-open.
thanks. i am looking into doing some F/TR competitions. i am looking at the Sinclair and the Dolphin bipod to start. a friend has each one of them for sale. any comments from anyone on which of those to types would be preferred?
anyway, i got my Lee Collet die and the Redding body die. still using ADI brass (which was fired in my previous .308), i necked sized it with the Lee and bumped the shoulders back with the the Redding and headed out yesterday on a very calm day to test things out.
well, very impressed and pleased so far with the above combination. using the 150 gr Berger flat base and and 168 gr Berger Hybrids, i shot six 5 shot groups at 100 yds. i think, for the first time, not one group was over .5 inches. two groups were at .5", one group in the .4's", two in the .3's", and one group with the 150 gr Bergers was .19" ! these are the kind of results i have been looking for. hope i can continue to see them.
will be using the Lapua brass next.
