Savage project

Posted a couple of questions in other forums but was wondering would the 30-06 LA 110 savage action work for the 6.5x284?Will it eject and chamber right for the 284 round.I have a 110 30-06 donor rifle here at the house.Maybe I could order the barrel and do the project my self as long as I don't have to change bolt face.

You'll be all set for the bolt face. The most important part of your project will be finding a great barrel for it. You'll also have to get a trigger for it, unless it has an accu-trigger, and then you'll have to see how you like that. The pull will be higher than you might like for a target gun though. The stock will also of course be a big part of how your gun shoots. You'll be surprised at how good you can make that 110 action work for you on a target gun with the right components. If you wanna save some cash there ia a nice Stockade LRBR stock for a long action, and I believe a low round count 6.5-284 barrel too here in the classifieds.

I've done business from both parties and they are good guys to deal with, as is most people on this site.
