Savage Precision Model 12 Target F-class

I was wondering if anyone has one of these rifles. How well does it shoot? I was thinking of building a rifle, but also looking at this one as well. Thanks for any info..........

gbee, I just sold mine to a fellow member "montana native". I was shooting .200s and .300s with it and minimal load development
with Lapua brass, 142 SMK, 51.0 gr. 4831sc .010 out of the lands.
I plan to go to a full custom rifle in a few weeks or months I suppose. Still looking at different options. Hope this helps.

I haven't shot mine for groups yet, but I did 2 ladder test at 100 yds. Each test included 15 shots with different powder charges. The agregate for the test was something like 2 inches, with some 4 and 5 consecutive shots resulting in 1 ragged hole. I was shooting 142 SMKs with Lapua brass and H 4831SC. Bullets were loaded 15 thous into the lands with 1 thou neck tension.
I wish I had more time to play with this, but my free time is limited.
There has been alot of discussion about the accutrigger binding if you throw the bolt closed. I have 45 rounds through mine and only had it happen once. I was not shooting in competition, so it wasn't a big deal. Overall, my trigger feels great. I'd give it a definate buy rating.

Just yesterday had my F/TR .308 to the range with some test loads of the new Berger 185 HPBT that is not on the market as of yet and got some .650 groups and still in load development so as of now it shoot real well.
