Savage pre-fits

Short of spending hours perusing every barrel maker site, who makes pre-fits for Savage? Looking for a 6.5-284. So far I've only found McGowan and PacNor.

I received a new barrel from Jim at NSS. So far I'm pleased with NSS & CBI. I'll really be pleased if the barrel wins some match's. It was 12 weeks lead time for my barrel. Some he has in stock.

I can vouch for the L-W pre-fits. I ordered and received a pair of the .260's back about 15 years ago. It was actually before the pre-fits were offered, but the ones being offered now are identical. One was given away, the other is on my Savage custom (one of the original Snipers' Hide Ghost Dancer rifles). It was used in 1000yd comp for several years at Bodines (and Whittington), and still shoots great, due to jealous conservation of the bore and throat. Order with confidence.

I DO NOT build range/comp guns though.
All mine shoot in the sub moa's no matter the caliber, .224/6mm/7mm
Every barrel I have ordered to date has not taken past 92 days, the last 3 barrels took 6 weeks.

Many years ago I bought a Savage pre fit 6.5-284 from PacNor. It shot worse than the 1,200 round factory barrel it replaced., Returned it to PacNor, they said nothing wrong with it. Sold the whole rifle. Barrel had just 200 and some rounds thru it.

I got my 6Br from PacNor, one of my top shooters. Can't recommend them enough.

EABCO also carries Shaw pre-fits.
