savage model 16 WW in .308 question

I just purchased a savage model 16 in .308, on a couple of trips to the range the rifle shot ok, about an inch and half at 100 yds. I was wondering if anyone had a good .308 deer load for a rifle with a 1 in 10 twist barrel. Also if anyone has any tricks to make the gun shot a little better i'm all ears. Thanks.

Just a note on makeing the thing shoot a little better, start by floating the barrel and beding the action, when you put it back together check the torque on the action screws. Also make sure you have a good scope on it, not the factory Simmons if it came with one.
Best of luck and God bless,
