Savage model 11 safety

A friend of mine has a Savage model 11 with the safety on if you pull the trigger then without touching the trigger you take it off safety it locks up or if you take it off safety fast it will fire any help would be appreciated

Increase the trigger pull weight and see if that makes it go away .

There is a safety adjustment screw on the back of the trigger that needs adjusted ever so little. Very common problem with a Savage. They will back out over time with recoil.
