Obviously you haven't read the piece .
I read every word of every reply but still wanted to hear from the man with the rifle. That ok with you?

The trigger he did was very nice till a screw backed out and trigger wouldnt set. Ive tightened the screw back up twice so far. His testing he did with ammo i cant get and it had 4 touching shots and 1 out about 3/4 inch he said he pulled it. Now granted he had shit weather while he had my rifle but i wouldnt send it out till it put 5 in a hole if that was my promise and it would be an available ammo. The bedding job looks pretty good, and he did install the heavy bottom metal and a 1 peice scope mount. He didnt reblue where he cut the new crown. Honestly i wouldnt pay it again. It will never be what i want. If you want a .3 or better 22 for comp, buy a gun made for it right from the start. Buy once cry once, i was told that a dozen times and i couldn't make myself listen, guess what i have a hall action custom on the way. This will be a loaner for noobs cause yes it will probably be more accurate than them.I read every word of every reply but still wanted to hear from the man with the rifle. That ok with you?
I put the Apachee trigger kit in mine, have it set to 10 ounces and have had zero issues with it. All factory safeties are still in place and functioning and it passed the drop test from different angles and the hammer test. What i expected when i got it back was a target showing .3 or better, what ammo and lot. I expected to be told the action screw tension exact. I expected to have a rifle capable all i had to do was drive it. So i feel let down, i feel like im back at square one doing all the work i paid to have done, including trying to get that trigger screw to loctite in place.
What ever floats your boat . Go for it everybody's got the same dream .I read every word of every reply but still wanted to hear from the man with the rifle. That ok with you?
Nice . How long have you been shooting? That targets at 50 yds ?I put the Apachee trigger kit in mine, have it set to 10 ounces and have had zero issues with it. All factory safeties are still in place and functioning and it passed the drop test from different angles and the hammer test.
Rifle is unbedded in a Boyd's AT-One stock using DIP bottom metal and triggergaurd.
Here is a pic of a normal target when I do my part.....orange dot is 1 inch.View attachment 1100513

I wouldn't touch anything else on it . Shoot and enjoy its accuracy. I'd start shooting some local matches . Your a lucky shooter to have such a good shooting stock savage .
With that group you should do well . What ammo was that ?
This is the one he worked on. Targets are with wolf match target. Athlon argos btr 8-34×56. 6 dot target is 50 yard 3 dot target is 100 yard f class. Trigger fully functions at under 1 pound probably around 8 oz when that one screw is in place. Stock is a Richards microfit 3" benchrest stock.
Last f class match was a 1129 27x probably could do better with different ammo best prior to sending it out was 1148 39x.
I hate to yell you but mine shoots better than that with CCI sv. Sorry you have had so much trouble. I wouldn't be happy either after I had spent that MUCH. With what you have in the Savage and what you will put in the custom, you could have bought a Vudoo and been miles ahead. I hope you get what you are looking for in your build. Good luck, Sir!
