FTR I think 200.20 bergers is what u want to shoot, I don't think your twist is right but I don't know, but 200 gr bullets is the theme I do know that...there are lots of FTR shooters that will help you that have forgot more than I know..they will chime in.. put FTR help in your title and they will come

Yes 200.20 pretty much need the 1-10 twist ! i will be maxed out with the Berger 185 JN bullet with a 1-12 twist ‍♂️ I’m likely to use 168-175 weights Only .
Thanks

that is what handicaps the Savage model 12 a 12 twist barrel .I have been shooting savage f/tr rifles for years but ended up always new barrel and ditch nut. Great place to start

Shoot 155 Sierra or Bergers with 46g+ of Varget. In Lapua SRP brass. Start 10 thou off the lands. Winning formula. 168's may be OK, 175 SMK really needs 11.25 in twist but I have seen them shot in 12's with some success. 44.1 of 8208 works too and some use H4895 ( never tried it)

The Model 12 benchrest is a better stock for F-Class than the F- Class stock. Go figure. Now find a Bi pod that suits - Joy Pod is the "best" ( in my not-so-humble opinion) The Sinclair seems to work too, but there's others.

I had that bipod before I had a Joy Pod. Worked well - regret selling it to fund the SEB. One of those things you should hang on to. If I see another for sale I may just get it.
