Maybe check the owner's manual?
I did read the manual. The owners manual tells how to reverse bolt handle and change bolt face, not how to remove the internals.
Try the Savage Shooters Forum. Someone there may know.
OK, saw how to change the bolt head and figured the rest was there. Guess not.
You might try calling them - (800) 370-0708. It's been a few years since I've called, but they were very helpful.
