savage fixed box magazine?

How do you remove a fixed box magazine off the reciever.I need to install a 308 mag. Can anyone help me. I dont want to ruin the parts.

I use a C clamp of the appropriate size to compress the box a little bit. Then take a flat head screw driver and place it in the tab area...hit it and she should pop right out.
