Savage F/TR 308

Stoped in my local gun store to browse around. Well, a mint condition used Savage model 12 F/TR 308 caught my eye. Price tag on it is $1000. Is this a fair price for this rifle? It's really got my wheels turning.lol

Don't know the round count on the barrel, but a Model 12 F/TR NEW sells right at around $1450- $1500 now. So even if the round count is high, the rifle is worth $1000 IMHO. My Model 12 is a tac driver.

Thanks for the replies. I asked about round count on it but the shop couldn't verify that. I inspected it the best I can & was pleased. Looks like I'll be heading to the store on my way to work tomorrow!
