WOW!!! All i can say is wow!!! I shot this rifle this weekend and its so damn cool. I was surprised how well it shoots. My last group i had 4 toughing and then 1 just a little high. Man o man this is gonna be a great gun! I cant wait to shoot it next weekend. Heh man I really like this rifle..... Im so glad that I was convinced to buy this rifle. I am so happy with this rifle. I cant wait till i absoloutly get her dialed in! Oh well I just thought I woul dlet you guys know my experience with it. I would reccommend this rifle to any one that wants a production class 6.5-284 Norma.

Scott,

Good to hear you like yours :D

I've been tinkering w/ mine the last week or so. Its going to take me a little more work to get it 'firing on all cylinders' but it sure looks like it wants to shoot. Kind of new for me, most of my 'bench' type guns before this have been .223, 6mm BR, .243... this one jumps back a little more ;)

Heh right on man. Man I cant wait to go shoot it again this weekend!!! LOL im really hooked on this gun!!! Why arent you "firing on all cylinders"? Having problems tweaking a load or what?
-Cody

Pretty much. My 'load-fu' has been weak as of late ;) Had to take a deep breath, step back, throw my load data in the trash and start over. Spent too much time chasing what I thought I knew, rather than let the gun tell me what it liked. Lesson learned,I hope).

Heh ya you have to just let it talk to ya man. In the beginning I never got anywhere when I tried forcing my rifles to shoot what I wanted. Since I have learned that I just let the rifle talk lol. What kind of scope do ya have on theat 6.5-284 if ya dont mind me asking?

Weaver T24 for the time being. May be shifting my NF BR 12-42x over from my F/TR rifle as various projects move along.

Guys, I told you those rifles would shoot. Montana Native has mine now. I wish I had kept it. Oh well, I'll get me another one a little later on. Bill

Here is a 1000 yard group from the predecessor of your LRPV/Target action. This is a 300 Win Mag in a factory single shot, long action, laminated stock with adjustable cheek, and rail for target bench. Wind was a measured 15-23 mph.

Bill,

I think he meant the predecessor *action*, as in 'before the Target Action' used in the LRPV/F-Class rifles.

I was wondering approx how many MOA is needed to reach a 1000 yards using a 142gr. SMK in the 6.5-284? I know a .308 with a 175gr. SMK needs approx 47 MOA i believe. I would think it woul dbe close to that number because they are both traveling at about the same speed and are close in bullet weight. Thanks for the information!
