Savage F class stock

Gordy did a great job straightening it out. I would do the same thing if I had that stock. I have similar ones and they are all parallel.

So what width between the ears did to you go with? 1 1/8 inch? or 1 1/4 inch or something different?
I pulled up the Invoice from Protektor and it shows I ordered a Flat Top Dr. Bag Mid Ear 1 1/8" spacing between the ears with the Silver Slick Material. It was ordered in Sep 2013. I have been very happy with it. Like I said before, it works and tracks extremely well for me once I learned how to adapt to it. I don't think modifying the stock would have work any better for me than this has. With that 1 1/8" width between the ears the bag ended up with 5 rows of stitching. I had them include a small piece of the silver slick material from which I cut a small strip to cover the stitching.

I had a guy that does wood working bring the bag riding bottom of the stock to the same width of my 30 br so I can use the same bag for both.He used a file to cut it down in a 7 inch wide area in the middle of the stock and feathered it in on the 2 ends It looks like it was designed that way.Its a half inch wide by 7 inches long.He then put clear on the filed sections and you can't tell,he bedded it and did the bottom work for 160 bucks an awesome job. Took it out and it tracks perfect ,the gun never shot this good.
