Savage F Class Stock Splitting

I received an email from Lisa a few minutes ago....apologized for the delay...said they were awaiting a shipment of butt pads last week, and promised to get the stock shipped this week. We'll see.

Still no answer from Sharp Shooters Supply....and they're still not accepting phone calls. I posted a negative vendor feedback message on the Savage forum, for what that's worth.

I've heard that.....wouldn't be the worst thing that happened to me in my 76 years.....

I didn't call anyone ugly names, use profanity or make threats....just stated the problem I'm having. I also posted when Lisa emailed me yesterday afternoon, just adding: "I'll hope for the best."

As a matter of fact, I rec'd tracking info for a UPS shipment on Monday, and the stock arrived today. They fumbled it a few times, made promises that didn't come true....so I decided to wait for it to arrive, and make sure there were no ugly surprises. I admit it, I'm a "glass half empty" guy!!

Anyway, here's a pic...it fits perfectly and I just need to apply a final finish. In the end, Lisa at SSS came through...and I'm thankful my $$$ wasn't a loss.

I'm shipping it this morning to my son-in-law in Santa Fe. He's a custom cabinet maker, and will do the clearcoat finish for me. We'll be out there in two weeks, and I can pick it up.

We went out to visit our daughter and family, and Klaus had finished the stock. Four coats of "catalyzed water-based lacquer." Here it is installed.....

As I recall, they don't have that particular model....this was closest to it. I think they've changed suppliers.

Ah. Thought it looked a little sleeker than what was shown on their web page.
