Savage Bolt Puzzle

Your bolt head appears to have two ejectors. Here is the method I have used several times. You need a small vise and a fired.45acp case. Put the case in the bolt head and compress the ejector(s). Make sure the pinhole is on top and put something under the head to catch the pin. With the spring compressed the pin should drive out fairly easy. Pdog2225
Good idea, but no go. Pin wouldn't budge. Talked to Savage today. They finally looked at the pictures and issued an RMA with a pre-paid shipping label. So now I'm out a rifle for a couple more weeks. :(

A quick and very dirty method is to measure the wobble - front to back in the bolt handle with a feeler gauge. With the firng pin and springs out, of course.
