Savage Bear Hunter Velocities

Does anyone own a Savage 16 Bear Hunter in 300wsm? Im looking to see what kind a velocities guys are getting out of those 21" barrels. Im interested in buying one but dont want to loose too much velocity from a short tube.

Should only be losing around 80 fps. If the concept is a rifle/carbine that handles well in the brush is what you are looking for, the shots seem as if they would be fairly close and the velocity difference moot. I would be more worried about quick and reliable feeding with the 35 deg. shoulder of the WSM case. My Kimber 325 WSM needed some reshaping of the feed ramp.

That is why my first 300wsm was in Winchester model 70. From what i have read the Win action is the best at feeding the 300wsm and have never had a problem with that gun. I have debated buying the Bear Hunter in 300 win mag to eliminate this worry and pick up more velocity.
