Savage Barrel Shanks

Does the shank on a Savage barrel have a remmy style "safety cut" or is it just a flat cut 3 or 4 thou from the bolt head?

If anyone has a link to Savage 110 action specs for the barrel tenion please share it. I can't find one any where.

Pictures would be a plus.

Thanks

yep, flat on the end, no recess for the bolt face like a Remington. The threads are 1.062" x 20tpi. At least that is what they are spec'ed at. Most of the barrels I have removed were more like 1.050 to 1.055".

Older sav 110 have recessd like remmys , that would be before 1960 give or take 3-4 years . Frank DeHass Book Of Bolt Action Rifles has exact date and barrel dia and thread .
