is it okay to re-thread a 1.125" savage shank,wsm barrel) down to the smaller savage shank of 1.05" to make a switch barrel savage 110,.308, and 7mm wsm is what im going for) ??? or would this make it unsafe?? would it just be better to buy a large shank stevens or savage action instead?? thanks guys, brian.
