Savage B22 scope mounting help requested

I just bought a new Savage B22 bolt rifle and moved my Mueller 8x32x44 scope and rings from my old 22 rifle and for some reason I have run out of "UP" clicks and still need to come up 3.5 inches at 50yds. Is it possible to get a "negative" moa mounting rail? That Mueller scope has 300 clicks from full up to full down and I'm maxed out going up and actually need more.

I found out that I was thinking backwards, I don't need a "negative" MOA rail I need a "positive" (or just standard) MOA rail. A standard 20 MOA rail will bring the barrel UP and let me dial the scope back down. I have a EGW 20 MOA rail on the way to see if that does the trick?

Something is setup wrong... Recheck everything before you buy anything... Are you turning the scope the right way..? No offense , I have seen people get confused... Unless , for some reason the scope is pointing down you should have a ton of adjustment at fifty yards... Make sure the action is torqued up properly etc...

Lefty, I'm bringing this back up because I just received my Savage B22 and I'm having the same issue you had with having enough elevation adjustment. I've never had any rifle to use this much elevation up to get a 50 yard zero. My range goes to 325 yards and would like to get this rifle to that distance. My Tikka T1X and Bergara BMR are capable. What did you do? I'm considering a 20-40 moa base and possibly Burris rings with inserts. I did a search and seen some others had the same issue. I've never been dissatisfied with any Savage rifle, this is a first. Definitely a poor design of something. But I'll be an adult and suck it up and do what it takes to make it work.

I got a Savage B-Mag in 17 WSM a few years ago, and with the original mounting lugs on the action top I had the same issue, maxed out trying to zero at 50 yards. I made the mistake of sending it back to Savage, and it took over 6 months to get a replacement... I ended up taking off the scope lugs and put on 20 MOA rail, so I'd recommend doing that also. If the EGW is nice, get that, but I wouldn't get one with the Extended front rail, as it will likely interfere with your front bell on the scope, normal length is better in my experience.

Thanks. I'm looking at the MDT 50moa base. I'd like to shoot this out to 325-350 yards. I wish AREA 419 made a base for Savage B22, but they don't. 50moa and my Mil-Quad will get me there. Right now zeroed at 50 yards I have 9.3 Mils left in elevation adjustment. This is with SWFA SS.
