I have a AMT action, longer than a Remington.Outside screw holes are right near 5.1 ". 1.350 round action. can one of you guys give me measurements for a large savage action. I think the screw holes about line up. the action is not in my possesion right now. Thanks

I once contacted Boyd's about a stock for a Savage 12 TARGET action. My #12 FTR 308 is a TARGET action. That means it's single feed with THREE action screws. Boyd's could not understand the question. I've yet to find ANY aftermarket stock or chassis for a THREE screw Savage action.

The following measurements depict the various screw spacing on Savage 110 centerfire actions over the years. All measurements are center-to-center.

All Long Actions = 5.062" (1958 to present, staggered and center-feed magazines)
1st. Gen Short Actions = 4.522" (1959 to 1987, staggered feed magazine)
2nd Gen Short Actions = 4.275" (1998 to 2007, staggered feed magazine)
3rd Gen Short Actions = 4.400" (2005 and up, center-feed magazine, not in photo)
3rd Gen Palma/Dual-Port = 3.440" (2009 and up, single-shot only)
Axis/Edge = 4.800" (2008-present; spacing same for long or short action cartridges)

I have a McMillan 4.40 three hole. They had the print when they inletted it.

If you are willing to drill holes in your action you can easily make it fit the stock you have.
