Savage A22 mag

Just bought a new A22 mag this week. Cleaned barrel with G96 then dry patch. Installed 4x scope to test fire. Worst gun experience I ever had! Tried three different ammo types, CCI, Winchester and Fiocci. None would cycle! After first shot spent shell didn’t eject. Manually recycled next round. It jammed! Gun is a complete failure! Junk! I have a CZ 512 I’ve had for a few years. It cycles the same ammo flawlessly. Never had an issue with CZ! I hope to return Savage and find another CZ. I only bought the A22 because of 10 shot rotary mag to use for coyote hunting. Rotary mag is inferior to Ruger and Tikka T1X models! I doubt I ever buy another savage! Stay with CZ or Tikka. Not many make 22 mag semis though.

The Savage A22 Mag that I got rid of had a terrible trigger and badly shaved copper off of the bullets. After one outing I had a pile of copper shavings at the base of the barrel. Functioned well and was very accurate with Hornady V Max. Went and bought an ANSCHUTZ 1516.

Thanks, I’m still waiting for a response from savage. They have my gun it’s been almost a month! Disgusted!

I'm waiting on a Savage B22. I hope the rotory mag works well. I may have bought junker. I'll find out if I did or didn't.
I love my Tikka T1X and Bergara BMR. In a month or two I'm going to be in the market for a CZ457 combo. I hope you get some answers. Good luck.
