Savage A17, any good?

With Pennsy moving in to the 20th century legalizing autoloaders, I am contemplating purchasing a Savage A17 17HMR semi-auto. I have three very accurate 17HMRs (annies & CZ) and do not want to take the plunge if these are suffering from accuracy issues like the 17WSM. Any comments or reviews welcome. Primary use with be chucks & crows out to 200.

A good friend of mine has had one for about a year and a half. Started out with the a-17 ammo and was shooting around 3/4 groups at a hundred yards but recently switch to 20gr cci for a touch more thump on a coyote and the 20 trainers shot just a smidge better. He likes the hell out of his except he says loading the mag kinda sucks. Maybe this will help.

I bought one last year. Kind of an impulse buy before a P-Dog hunt in Wyoming. The A17 ammo was not as accurate as Hornady. The trigger is absolutely terrible. The mag is hard to load and won't stay locked in. Probably the only gun I've ever bought that I considered selling.
