savage 6br

I have seen guys win pretty serious local matches with stock Savage rifles a few times shooting against expensive ones.
Man does that steam their beans Lol.

I've had mine for just four months, but absolutely love it. I've had my smith cut the barrel to 28", with no impact on accuracy. My favorite long distance recipe is H4895, 105 Berger VLDs, Lapua brass and CCI450 primers....

I shot my second 600 yard match a couple of weeks ago, and here's my last target, a 48-2X

The rifle shoots a lot better than I do!!! I'll try to answer any questions you have:

anyone have some info on savage 6br w/ 8 twist performance thank you

I've had mine for two years next month. She still shoots in the .2's & .3's @100 yds when I do my part. This is actually a 600 - 1000 yd rifle, but my eyesight is not what it used to be. I've found she really likes Bart's 68 gr FB & HPBT (just touching the lands) being pushed by VVN133. On the flip side, she likes Sierra 107's and Varget for the longer range shooting. As was remarked, the rifle probably out-shoots my capabilities.

My LRPV won me Shooter of the Year in 600 Yard Factory Class last season. She actually Agged in the high 2's at one match, and scored a 181/200, which beat out quite a few of the LG and HG guys shooting high dollar rigs. Gotta love Savage Rifles!!!!
