Savage 223 f/tr loads

I picked up a savage 223 f/tr with the intention to use it in 300 yard shoots and for a back up for friends or my father when they want to shoot. I have a savage 12 benchrest 6br I will be shooting in 300/500 matches. At Miami rifle and pistol.

I loaded up some 80g Amax at the lands with 4895 and am going to try at the lands and +/- 1000 or so. Still feel like my oal findings are inconsistent.

I also picked up some Berger 80.5 does anyone have any feedback with those. Or any other combinations for f/class or 300-500 223 shooting.

Cory, my FTR .223 for midrange hammers HM scores at 300 yards with a 75 grain Amax and 23.2 grains of H4895. OAL is 2.450 jumping .013.

80 gr Noslers shoot well and are cheap, $130/K on sale at shooters pro shop. Not an ideal 600 yard bullet (BC), but they run real well with 8208 and H4895 in my Sav F-TR. 90 gr SMKs will work, despite short throat. Sierra 77 gr TMKs and 8208 are 1 to 1.2" capable at 300 yards. Berger 80.5 are on my to do list and come highly recommended with H4895.
