savage list this 12 lrp with h s precision stock on web. does anyone know what this stock looks like?? thanks

You can find a picture of it on page 11 of the 2011 Savage Catalog. Link below. It looks to me to be very similar to the HS Precision stock I have on my LRPV. However, the LRP has a detachable box magazine.

It's a good stock - stiff with a very long moulded-in aluminium bedding block.

This is what mine looked like before bedding. It has three action screws and is quite strong. Not sure what happens when you have a magazine. Potentially you loose the middle action screw.

Yes,

the front two are done up tight, the rear screw very much less. There is a technique described in a post on this forum by Travelor with information obtained in the Savage Accuracy Blog:

The other thing to note is that the tightness of the rear screw has a big effect on the bullet strike elevation. If you take your barrelled action out of the stock, you need to recheck your zero, even if you use a torque-driver and reset the screw tension to what it was previously.
