Savage 112 7mag

Like all Savages, it probably shoots pretty well, however they don't hold their value that well. Yours may be a bit more desirable due to the laminated stock.

A quick check of a couple different websites show that the 110 models are mostly cerakoted and are going for around $1000, so I would say you could probably ask between $800-1000 for it. Not saying you will get that, but you could start there. Or just put it on Gunbroker and start it at $1.00 and see where it goes.

It's heavy for a carry around hunting rifle, but that model costs more new than most Savage hunting rifles(blued, plastic stocks). Budget beanfield rifle?

Round count? Condition(looks nice)?

These are very nice rifles, but a heavy barrel 7mag isn’t really a carry around hunting rifle. More of a bench or shooting house gun. Given good condition I would say probably $800 depending on round count.

Probably worth more in parts
-SS long action w/accutrigger……..$375-425
-Long action BVSS stock…………..$175-250
-SS 7mag heavy barrel……………..$150-200

Just my opinion based on what I see similar things selling for and the fact that a stainless long action doesn’t show up in the classifieds very often.

Thanks guys, it does shoot really good but it is heavy, I have another project started in the 7mm so I thought I might part with this one but didn’t know where to start with it.

That is a nice looking rifle. I'd guess most folks don't want a hunting rifle that heavy, though it would be a great shooter for across canyons, open plains, etc. Because that greatly reduces the number of hunters/shooters who might be interested in it, I'd be patient when selling it. That is the kind of rifle configuration I'd buy for the kind of hunting I do. I think Gun Broker auction prices pretty much show what a gun is truly worth when the gun is a very common model. For not-so-common models, the prices can be all over the board. If I listed that on Gun Broker, I'd put a reserve on it. That way one doesn't risk taking a bath, yet has the possibility of getting a very nice price. Long range heavy rifles are definitely in with the younger crowd.
