Savage 110 BA .338 vs Sako TRG

Hey guys I'm wanting to get into a .338 setup and can't decide which way to go here....in Australia the TRG is about 5 grand dearer than the savage but I don't really like feel or look of it...any suggestions?

I like the stock on the Savage 110 FCP HS Precision. I think it is the same barreled action as the BA. Only with a different muzzle brake??

Boa, I own a Barrett m98b. Got a couple of freinds one has a armalite 338 the other has a AI 338 as well as a TRG. Have also been around a couple of the 110s. All are good shooting rifles with the AI & the Barrett being best of the bunch but at a cost of twice for what you would pay for the others. While very pleased with the 98 if I had it to do over again I would build a custom rifle. Don't know about Australia but here I could have bought all the parts & had a rifle built plus bought some good glass for what I paid for the 98 by itself. Guess it depends on your budget & what you really want. Hope this helps. Good day.

The thing that has impressed me about the 110 BA (other than it being the ugliest rifle in my stable, lol) is the performance of the muzzle brake. Yes, it will wake the dead (wear ear plugs along with your ear muffs, unless you're a spectator standing at least 15 feet behind it), but the recoil is about the same as a .308 Win mountain rifle. You can shoot the thing all day, and the only thing that will be abused is your ammo account. Given the difference in price compared to the TRG, I'm well pleased with the 110 BA.

The 110ba is an excellent choice. might not be tbe prettiest but they shoot. stick a great piece of glass on it and it will do anything you need.
