Savage 10 FCP DM HS butt pad removal?

Can anyone tell me the proper way to remove the H-S butt pad from this rifle?
There appear to be no screws holding in on (I've searched). Is it glued on??
Would they do that to a precision stock, or is there some secret trick?
I shouldn't have to slice it off....

the screws are counter sunk into the recoil pad. you should be able to push the screwdriver into the pad and remove them.

Every H.S. Precision stock I've had or have has the butt pad epoxied on at the factory, that's how they do it.

I have cut one off to install a Tubb 3-way, wasn't easy and in the end was way more work than it was worth.

Ack! It's just as I feared...
I was just feeling incredulous that a precision stock maker would do that, and a bit peeved that I'd not be able to install the Limbsaver that's currently on my old Savage 14.
But then I suppose they know what's best for us... :-\

Of course my new model 10 feels like a sperm whale alongside my 14, so the recoil ought to be significantly less.
Actually, it looks a bit like a sperm whale as well ! :D
