Savage 10 / 6mmBR Norma build

Had everything lined up to build a 6mm Creedmoor but finding a deal on here for a 6mmBR barrel with dies and brass had me shift directions. The Action I had was a Savage model 10 with the bottom bolt release and those are not the best to find good stocks for. I came across a chassis frame from a sub-company of MDT called Oryx, they offer a complete "ready-to-go" chassis that will work with the bottom bolt release action. I jumped on it and built this rifle.
Oryx chassis / Criterion 28" stainless bull barrel threaded with muzzle brake in 6mmBR Norma / 20 moa EGW scope rail and a Nikon 6-30x52 Monarch 5 ED scope. I bought a magazine for the chassis but not sure how the short BR will feed so I also bought a "Bob Sled" magazine feed block so I can single feed it. Oryx offers a kit to extend the pull length but I cant seem to find any so I had a friend water jet cut me some temporary fillers to extend the pull to my liking (white spacers). Have ammo made and ready for the range to sight in this weekend if the weather holds out... sorry the picture is dark, its raining out.

I built a 6mm Dasher from a Mod 10 action, but I glued in a Sharpshooters single shot ramp feed fine, but this solution won't work for you if you need mag feed

I have an Fcp-k in 223 which uses the bottom bolt release as well. I had xlr industries make a stock for it. It’s super light weight and shoots awesome.

Lefty,
Thinking about that Oryx chassis for my savage 6br. Any updates you care to share on the chassis. (how do you like it, any issues ect...)
Thanks Bill

Hey its a great chassis for the money. I have purchased another one and moved my 308 into it. There is one issue with it that might or might not really be an issue, they built the bore centerline a little low for the fixed butt stock location and if you have the cheek riser up any at all you can not get a cleaning rod down the bore. I got around this by lowering my scope rings which allowed me to lower the riser and a carbon fiber cleaning rod will flex and not scratch things up. I'm working on a full report that I'll post up soon so watch for that...
