Sartorius Entris 64 scale

Flouncer, a finely tuned beam balance will also fluctuate with air currents and temperature changes but, when you have a digital readout flashing numbers in your face, it is much more obvious than the coarser 'read out' on a beam balance;). Most of these issues with high $$$ digital MFR balances are easy fixes. Regardless of the proclivities of my Sartorious I don't miss my beam balance much when loading up 80-200+ (or more) rounds utilizing the Autothrower/trickler. Even more importantly my wife misses me less often as I have MUCH more time to spend with her.:)

What test procedure you use for psu, thanks.
If I sit still then the scale doesn't move. If I move then the scale moves. That is the test, unless you have an explanation that me moving is somehow interfering with the electrical work in my apt.

1st or 2nd floor? If your room is not on a slab you will have some deflection of the floor on a wood joist floor that can change the reading. My scale is set up on a granite stand with neoprene vibration isolation feet. It does not contact the loading bench but if I put my thumb on the corner of the granite top and put about 8lbs or more of pressure it will cause a deviation in the reading. Scales of this precision are VERY sensitive.

Top floor of a poorly constructed apt, nothing I can do to get around it other than sit still or buy a house (I lived on a terrace before but these buildings are trash and the top floors leak down and you get mold issues).

The drift issue when you move is likely very slight changes in the level of your scale as you move. Try standing next to the scale, let it stabilize, the put a finger on a corner of the surface it is set on and put downward pressure....you will most likely see a deviation of the reading that will return to zero once you release your finger.

Anyone have a contact for Sartorius parts.

I just won a Sartorius CP423S at an auction, only problem is the shield glass and cover is missing. Other than that, it is in perfect condition.

Almost got an AND GR-202 but the price got too far out of my league. All came from a high end medical equipment facility. Also picked up an Anti Static Mat and Monitoring system.

After reading this thread, I am ordering a AND power supply. I have a nice line conditioner so should be good to go once I get the parts.

I have noticed the A/C Adaptor module 6971790 which was used for sartorius entris balances has been discontinued anyone able to confirm if there was a recall and replacement for this model A/c adaptor i emailed Sartorius 2 days ago and waiting for Reply.

What did you hear from Sartorius?

Thanks for Replies Gents i have contacted Sartoruis and made them aware of the issues and waiting for reply, Interesting point about the power supply will loan one from a friend to try out, Do any of you guys notice when you weigh a charge and leave on scales the charge weight reading can increase and decrease or does reading stay constant, Thanks.
A reading of a charge left on my fx120i will stay the same for days...

That depends upon humidity. Powder has the ability to pick up weight from moisture. Matt
I’ll take your word on that, I left 30gns on the scale with shields up for a couple of days, checked it day and night and it still read 30 at the end..Certainly good enough for my needs..Cant remember what the weather was doing at the time..

I have read this thread in horror. Going out into the unheated garage, to kiss my Lee balance beam scale. It deflects with a single kernel of H4831. I don't compete or even comprehend at the level here but Holy Moly !! Good luck you all.
I'm right there with you. My sparker tuned balance beam will register a single granule of Varget and should easily last me the rest of my shooting days. Maybe its ignorance that's making me blissful, but its good enough for me.

I fully understand and appreciate in ignorance the comment than digital values with several decimals undulating and writhing are way more graphic than a simple beam slowly and gently moving in the calm breeze.
